I hope this post finds you all well and healthy, happy and at peace!
I was thinking this evening/night, about inner peace, where did it originate and what does it mean? Like how do you achieve it even?
So.. appaz,
Inner Peace means/definition:
"Inner peace (or peace of mind) is a colloquialism that refers to a state of being mentally or spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress. Being "at peace" is considered by many to be healthy (homeostasis) and the opposite of being stressed or anxious. Peace of mind is generally associated with bliss and happiness."
Well, I say...
I do agree with that, I suppose it isn't a hard notion to get one's head around nor difficult to understand, however I suppose the real problem comes from achieving that state of (good word alert!) 'equilibrium' within oneself.
Personally, I'd say that such a state, will always be a delicate balance of all things within one's life; at the end of the day, it's being able to approach and tackle difficult or heinous circumstances and/or events with calmness, serenity and level-headedness.
It also, to me, is that you have found a way to balance the demands of your life with yourself.
"What kinda hippy madness is this!?" I hear you cry!
Soz, but please bear with!
So, what I mean is that we all need to find a way of making our jobs work for us, not the other way around, leave work at the office, have a few hobbies, take up yoga or more exercise perhaps?
Or perhaps even get fresh flowers every so often to brighten the place up and improve your mood.
Try your best to not let work rule your life, nor the stresses that come with it all, life wants enough of you without job, and then there is your own self.
Think to yourself,
'What do I want and need?'
Then write down a list, and see how many of those things you can make happen this year, this month, hell, even this week!
It's small things and small goals like this that will make you happier in the end, I feel.
If you don't know or aren't sure, look up what's going on in town, or go along to a gallery, museum, or for a stroll around town or through a park, with or without music or a good book (an uplifting one mind!)
Go see friends and hang out with people that make you feel good and lighter.
Paint, draw, read, write, sew or knit, even.
Who can say if any of these will work, but it's always good to try, right?
Meditate those blues away! Listen to nature and relaxing music!
Get out there and find that inner peace, calm that storm inside you and quench that thirst you have and direct that fire in your belly!
Live long and prosper! Okay, I'm soz buckets, but it was so right and appropriate...
